HID Plug and Play Kits - Only $200 SHIPPED!

*** UPDATED - GB IS NOW CLOSED. Please PM for information on this GB or for current pricing.

This is a group buy for true plug-and-play Techone HID kits for only $200 shipped!

Techone kits are high quality and made in their ISO 9001.2000 and QS 2000 certified factory. We will provide you with a one year warranty on bulbs and ballasts.

If you aren't familiar with HIDs, these are not like the cheapo bulbs you buy that burn out after a few weeks, and require no upgrade to factory wiring as they require less power even though they produce more light output.

We are offering these in the following color temps:

5000K - Pure white
6000K - Slight blue tint
8000K - Pronounced blue/purple tint
3000K - JDM Yellow/gold (like PIAA's Ion Yellow) tint - additional $10 charge

These will provide you with roughtly 3 times the light output of standard halogen bulbs which means greater visibility. Again, installation is completely plug & play! Glare is kept to a minimum with a uniquely cut bulb. The output is not as good as with a projector, but the headlights can be adjusted down some to minimize glare to oncoming traffic.

We are selling kits in the following sizes:

92-96 4G Prelude (USDM headlights): 9006
92-96 4G Prelude (JDM headlights): H4
97-01 5G Prelude (all models, high or low beams): H1
97-01 5G Prelude (JDM fogs/driving lights): H3C

Also available (PM me for a PayPal link): H7, H8, H11, H13, H4 Hi/Lo, 9004, 9005, 9007, D2R, D2S, D2C

Each Kit Includes:
- HID(2pcs) 12v 35 Watt Bulb
- Ballast (2 pcs, with Igniter and polarity adjuster integrated)
- Ballast pad for mounting (2pcs)
- Cable ties
- Screws
- Instructions

basically, everything you need for a quick installation.

We're looking for 8 buyers at this price. I expect these will go quick, once each slot is taken, that's it... send payment via PayPal below and we'll add you to the list. Click on the proper link below for the color temp and fitment you need. Once the list is full we'll ship. If we don't get enough people within 30 days we will issue a full refund.

It's color temp, not wattage. Will count your vote for adding 6000K color, thanks!

It should- the issue will not be "modding the housing" but whether or not it will fit behind the capsule. How much larger than the h3c bulb is the capsule?

for the 5000K's....what are the bulbs made out of??

What gauge is the wiring?

What kind of plug is on the end of the wiring that connects to the factory wiring harness (H1 in particular)?

Whats the voltage at startup?

thanks.

MarkG - got it, thanks. List updated.

petern101 - sorry for the mistake, updated. Preludejtstyle is right- you still need to send PayPal, too.

With regards to construction, the wiring looks to be about 16AWG but it's hard to tell how thick the insulation is. Connectors are quick-disconnects that mate with the stock pins and is P&P with the factory wiring. I'd still advise taping everything up, though, just for an extra layer of protection against moisture.

I'm not sure of the startup voltage- I will have to check on that.

Thanks guys!

so is it just a spade connect that slides into the factory harness or is there a connector that connects with the factory harness?

Spades, but nice and secure. AFAIK there is no connector anywhere that will just plug in like a headlight.

Just a question: Anyone using these? How bad is the glare to oncoming traffic... Do you have to angle the headlights down considerably? Are the highbeams still usable?

Okay. Would it be better to remove the spades and just solder the wires together?? I'm worried about a bad connection and longevity since the kit I bought I've only had for about a month, and the spades look like they are rusting. What would you suggest? Would maybe some elecrolyte gel be safe?

I have some right now, and they are great. The light output doubled, and so did the glare. But that still sin't much. And if you angle your headlights right, the only thing that the glare will effect will be streetsigns off to the upper right hand corner. The glare can be controlled. Its not bad at all.

You can, but it shouldn't be necessary. Tape the connection and it should be fine.

If you are extremely paranoid, lithium grease works well to keep moisture out and still act like an insulator.

Just tape the connection and you will be fine. I have made a harness to hook up to my set up and i just used spade connectors to connect to the stock harness. It's the "generally" accepted technique. If you solder them, (which really wouldn't be my option), I would suggest cutting the wires atleast 4-6 inches back from the H1 female connector so that you will have room to reattach the connector in the event you want to go back to stock.

See the list- still need 6 people. I can reduce that number by one or two if we can get another person or two on top of your two.

Duration: I'm going to pull this and refund buyers thus far if we don't get at least 8 people in the next week or two. I don't want people to have to be out their cash for that long.

I don't have any pics of the 5000K offhand. Color is basically the same as a factory install in the S2k, TSX, TL, etc.

Glare is not that bad- the glass is cut to minimize glare, though projectors will always be better and produce that sharp line. You can aim them down to reduce the glare to a level that's similar to what halogen's produce.

i am interested. I have been doing a lot of searching and review'ing. I went ahead and bought some connectors thay will hold the spaded wire ends, so that from start to finish all of my wire connections will be water proof~ish. it was pretty cheap, and it all plug and play. It also alloows me to wire in a relay for the power source, rather than relying on the wire in the harness. its also plug'n'play.

I get paid friday. I will send out my M.O. then

and BTW, the glare is not bad. I have seen these kits before.

^do you mind showing where to get those spaded wire ends?

i wired in my jdm headlights the ghetto way (electrical tape ) but if there is something that will ease the installation and be completely pnp, i am definatly interested

just in case i need to remove it for any reason

this kit comes with spaded wire ends he said. This is just a big block of plastic/rubber that is used as a sort of connector. I'll work on finding the store again. but i only have one hand so it takes me a while.

^^For those interested. Good reading. These seem like nice kits. I'm buying a set and maybe an extra pair of bulbs.

do you already have these in your possesion? or are you just placing orders to a company, then getting them, then shipping them?

Taking orders before buying stock. I'm not going to invest $3-$5k in inventory that won't move. I need orders to buy still.

Sent payment for 5k 9006.
Can someone throw up a schematic and part number for a relay to use the existing headlight power to just turn on and off?

No relay needed- it's really P&P.

I'm going to wait another week. 3 more after pter and it's a done deal (updated original post).
