5G Custom 3 Gauge Pod Replaces Center Vents!

All,

This is a group buy for a custom, one-piece gauge pod that replaces the center-vent piece:

This piece replaces your stock piece, construction is of the same quality plastic that Honda uses- NOT fiberglas or bondo. This piece will not crack or fade.

Note that as show in the pictures, finish is smooth like the stock radio trim - not textured or grained like the stock piece or the dash.

The pod has 3 openings and fits standard 2-1/16" gauges. Some very minor trimming under the dash may be require for you to run wires up to the pod. Vents, Hazard switch, and clock remain functional. The piece snaps into place and is held firmly just like OEM.

We need 10 orders to get these made. Price is $495 total, $495 shipped with exchange of your center piece, or an additional $70 charge for a new one. A $200 deposit is required when we place the order and the balance will be due when we ship. These are hand-made to a very high standard and will take about 4 weeks to deliver after order is placed.

PLEASE do not post suggestions for new gauge types here. If you are interested in another type, please indicate here:

can we see more pictures like an inseat pic where your looking out the windshield...an overall view of it to see how much it distracts the eye? if at all

also very interested in this....is there a way to make them more angled to the driver rather than straight on? I guess Ill have to wait for a pic from the drivers seat to make judegment, but I think they should be directed more at the driver as not to get a false reading from the angle your looking at it

They (the gauge faces) need to be angled twoards the driver some, other than that, I'm thinking I'm in. (I would prefer a dupe of the Pure design, though.)

Request: Shot from outside looking through the windsheild.
Shot from driver's POV.

Yeah if they were angled more towards the driver i'd be digging it but retaining the outside portion straight still. I'm with Jesse though, the Pure design was really really nice.

Not to hijack or anything but here's the design of the Pure Racing gauge pod, I believe this is off ScottMan's imagestation since he posted it? Hope you don't mind Scott.

If you sit in your driver's seat and look at that center piece, you'll realize that you don't need them angled. It sounds like a good idea but take a look- the distance/angle is not enough to really need it.

Look at your clock. Does it need to be angled?

Keep posting if you prefer a Pure knock-off or something similar: that's still an option.

Edit: Please, no more comments here: see this thread:

5g Center Dash Gauge Pod - What kind?

to post suggestions/preferences for the gauge pod type.

No updates. If we go with one, it will be the "pure" style as that is where the bulk of the interest is. Expect a price near the $400 mark and a limited production run. I'd advise if you want one anytime soon, bid on this one on ebay or contact gtf about this prototype.
