so I have until tonite to decide to purchase these skunk 2 stage 2 cams + Valvetrain and Retainers + Cam Gears for 900$ CAD.
currently, I have AEM CAI, Megan Headers, Hi-flow Cat, 2.25 Exhaust, Fidanza Flywheel, and Underdrive Crank Pulley... and Tuned VAFC.... dynoed at 182 WHP
would if be worthwhile investment to put these stage 2 cams in considering that I am running stock compression and only VAFC to tune. Any gains on top of my 182 WHP?
Even with the stock compression you'll definatly notice gains. I'm gonna be running the crowers on my 10:1 compression...don't have the money for sleeving/type s install. I mean since they were designed for the US spec prelude there probably designed for the stock compression, although more compression always helps. I'm not sure exactly why, but it does.

I hope thats true.... on the skunk 2 website, it didn't mention that high compression must be used to make big gains, it said it was required for stage 3, and said make gains of about 20 WHP with stage 2 and normal compression....
same -- I can't afford sleeving and pistons at the time being...
yes get them...you'll notice good gains with your setup. Of course with higher compression you'll get higher numbers.Since you have VAFC you can tune yourself with a wideband, which you might want to consider getting soon.

any guess at what the gains will be with my current set up and VAFC tuning?
my guess would be 10+ whp..hard to break into the 200 relm..free up your exhaust to 2.5 for more gains...also you don't need the cam gears with the Skunk 2 cams since 0-0 is the best gains for those cams..I would still put them on, in case you wanted to move your powerband around later...

thanks for the help..... just wondering what idd you dyno at? my mods are similiar to yours......
I had dyno time soon in my sig forever. I only street tuned mine at WOT, since thats all that the VAFC can do. When I first put in the cams I was bogging out bad and A/F was around 11:1 at WOT...barely pulling...after taking out fuel by watching the wideband at WOT I have street tuned to about 13:5:1 at WOT...and the car pulls HARD now..after I put on m hytech header I had to retune slightly but pulled even harder after that..
I would love to get my car dynoed but dont have the money now...all I want is 3 pulls to see where Im at with a a/f chart
I'm guessing about 190whp

You should consider something other than the VAFC for engine management. The VAFC doesn't allow you to tune your ignition timing. With your NA setup, it would be beneficial for you to advance ignition timing.

I was considering greddy emanage.... but i'm still a student, and its just after christmas, so low on cash..... and these cams were unexpected... impulse purchase
Yea I have Hondata s200 on a p28.
My setup is:
AEM CAI
Skunk2 IM
Hondata IM gasket
T1R header (2.36'' collector)
2.25 Test Pipe
2.25 Thermal exhaust
With tuning I put down 188whp.
I'm hoping w/the crower's to get close to 200whp mark. I think I should be able to do it.
