What ECU for Hodata and Euro R IM with EGR blockoff

Anyone know which OBD I ECU I should buy for Hondata 300 with a Euro R manifold? I will be blocking off the EGR valve, and donn't want to throw a CEL. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You don't need to buy an ecu just cause your installing a Euro-r IM. Just remove the the egr valve and the egr purge control solenoid and you won't throw a code. that's what i did. and if it does, oh well.

So removing the egr purge control solenoid will keep it from throwing a CEL? I've never heard of that but I'll give it a try. Where is this exactly? BTW, I plan on buying the Hondata 300 so I'll have to go to an OBD I ecu anyway, so I was looking for suggestions on which ECU goes nicely with this manifold. If anyone has this setup please post. Thanks.

ok so i take that back. Mine hadn't thrown a code for a while but it just did last night. but you can still remove the egr and the purge control solenoid...it won't harm a thing. The solenoid is on the drivers side right behind the ABS but infront of the shock tower. I don't really know what you mean by which one goes nicely...an obd1 ecu is an obd1 ecu...it just depends upon how it is chipped. I do know that 4gen preludes (obd1) don't have egr in the ecu.

Well I thought i read some OBD I ECUs had EGR functions and some didn't (this could be wrong) and some had controls for dual runner intake manifolds (butterfly valves) and some didn't. Just trying to make sure I get an ECU that does have controls for either. Thanks.

A good person with probably the most experience with this manifold to ask the question to is Rosko himself. He tends to be fairly responsive to E-mails. rosko@roskoracing.com

1992 - 96 obd1 ecu's don't have egr...not sure about butterfly valves but i know they dont' have egr. just find yourself an 92 - 96 obd1 ecu on ebay and your good to go...then all you gotta do is find someone to tune it. if i was you i'd just stay obd2 until your completely done modding and ready to tune. it's not cheap
