Vtec not engaging

i have a 93 prelude with a h22a swap and when i first got it, it ran fine no problems but recently the vtec either doesnt engage or only engages part of the time.. any suggestions?

-Make sure the car is completely warmed up.
-Check the oil level.

yeah i did both even just after an oil change it still didn't engage a friend said the solenoid could be plugged up

mine acting up also, just quit working one day, and my 8 grand redline quit working also went back to 7 overnight, have hondata s100 on it if that helps?

1. Might be bad hardness
2. Might Vtec Solenoid
3. Might be bad ecu
4. Might be bad wiring
Those are the only thing I could think of...

take the vtec soleniod off and try cleaning the screens might help. i know i had a problem were vtec wouldnt fully engage and it would get very loud through the intake. turns out that my cat had a piece of exaust pipe in it and would block the exaust. damn mechanic.
