Venom 400 Performance Module

Anyone familiar with the Venom 400 Performance Module...? I met a guy with a 98 Lude, who had this installed in his car. He said it worked great, and that he felt the power increase. I've checked other websites and its been getting 4.5 out of 5 stars. I just want to know if anyone else has this installed in their car before I attempt to buy it.

This seems like a glorified piggyback (sort of).

I would just get a tunable ecu if you really want gains but it's more $$$.

I once had a friend in college who installed this on his 96' LS Integra. He had other bolt ons, but when he activated it, nothing spectacular happened. If I remember right, we didn't even know if it was working right. He said it's because he had me in the car, and if he was by himself, he could feel it. I think it works simply by telling the computer to inject more fuel, because this guy also claimed he got worse gas mileage, but that was the price of a power increase.

LOL, that stuff is garbage. There's no way it can do the things they claim it can.

Besides some of their nitrous kits, did Venom ever make a worthwhile product? As far as I know, they offered an intake manifold for the Prelude as well as other Honda applications, but wasn't this a failure of sorts because there were no gains with it too? I just can't remember seeing anyone having good success with Venom and honestly don't know if they're still in business anymore

and no, I'm not going to search and see if that's true, I'm too lazy!

it is no more than a generic base map that a guy from 1500 miles from you can estimate to make your car drivable to the local tuner.
