Tuning options for SH owners

Hello all. I am in the process of replacing my head gasket and am thinking of possibly installing some new valvetrain components. If I do so (or even as it is set up already) I think I might need to look into some sort of tuning system. The performance modifications to my car are as follows:
  • DC stainless headers (soon to be replaced with Tri-Y headers)
  • Stock Cat (soon to be replaced with 2.5" Magnaflow cat)
  • Greddy cat-back exhaust (soon to be replaced with a 2.5" stainless system with 4" Magnaflow resonator and 5x8" Magnaflow muffler)
  • Type S Camshafts
  • Type S Pistons
  • Type S Dynamic Intake
  • Head milled slightly when rebuilt
  • Blox insulated IM gasket
  • Stock intake manifold (soon to have Blacktrax Dual IM spacer kit and IAB valve delete)
  • Ported and polished intake runners
  • Valve job (3-angle stock when rebuilt)
  • Stock fuel and ignition system

I will be using a Cometic 0.027" head gasket and ARP head studs when I re-install the head. I also switched my timing belt tensioner over to the manual tensioner this weekend. The timing belt was replaced when the engine was rebuilt 3500 miles ago but I didn't have the money to do extra stuff then, so I left the auto tensioner in. I have since graduated from college and have a little money to put into my car.

So I was thinking I would just leave the valvetrain alone, but now since the head is already off (and I don't want to have to do any of this ever again), I am thinking about going with some higher performance valvetrain components. I am not sure yet if I will do any more changes or not, but the options I am thinking off are as follows:
  1. Keep Type S cams and stock valves and buy Blox (or other) Ti retainers and valve springs
  2. Keep stock valves and get new Blox Type B cams, Ti retainers, and valve springs
  3. Same as 2 but swap out the valves for some like the Skunk2 Pro high compression stainless valves or something similar
**I have some Hayame (or something - cheap) adjustable cam gears that came with my Type S cams that I might install if I need to tweak the timing. When the engine was rebuilt and the Type S stuff was installed, I just left the cam gears stock for some reason.

I know if I do this level of modification to the engine I will get the most out of it by dyno tuning it and using some sort of EMS. The fuel system will probably need to be updated as well. I currently just have the Fields VAFC that came with the car when I bought it 7 years ago. After doing some research about stand alone EMS options, I haven't found any definitive information if any can be used while keeping the ATTS functioning properly. I know that if you use the Hondata systems and convert to OBDI you will lose the ATTS. Please correct me if I am wrong. From what I can tell, the AEM EMS might allow the ATTS use since it is supposed to be a plug and play ECU system. Any help will be appreciated as well as any suggestions on what valvetrain components to use. Thanks!

I do believe the EMS is the only one that will allow you to keep your ATTS and / or piggybacks (which you want to shy away from).

The only options you have are piggyback systems, like the EFI PMS or Greddy Emanage.

So the AEM EMS will disable the ATTS function just like any other standalone system?

Since I already have the old-school Fields Boxer VAFC, wouldn't that be nearly just as good as the Greddy Emanage? After reading about the EFI PMS and Greddy Emanage, it seems as though the EFI unit is not produced any more - so I would have to go with the Greddy setup out of these two choices.

Thanks for your help guys!
