Thanks to Dvsracegirl, Artifex, Marcucci, and 71dsp!
I was able to fix my ECM issue. I was having a problem passing emissions so I could sell my car because the heater wire on my O2 sensor showed a short, bank 1 sensor 1. I checked all the wiring, and replaced the sensor as well. It was driving me CRAZY! There was a pinout bad on the harness and on the ECM itself. I was able to find a ECM thanks to Dvsracegirl. The stealership wanted $900, and found one for $500 from a different company. From Dvsracegirl's help I found one for $100. Other forums and online sources said that a 98 ECM should work in my 97. It would work, but still throw a CEL and fail emissions. The kid I sold the car to bought a 98 ECM against my direction because of wrong information on another forum. He didn't want to wait until I found a 97, and wanted my car...so he jumped the gun and bought the 98. But, I was informed correctly here!!
I sold my car, and bought a 2003 CBR 600 f4i today. I wouldn't have been able to sell the car without you guys, and keep it running for the years that I had it due to this forum.
