Tapping

Hey im new to the site, i own a 1992 JDM H22 lude abd have recently rebuilt the engine myself and uprated parts along the way. It now has Type S pistons an Cams, Skunk2 inlet, 70mm throttle body, Eagle H beam con-rods, AEM CAI, ARP head bolts, high pressure oil pump. An since thats been done there is a top end tapping and im not sure where it is comin from or it it will do then engine any damage? Not sure if it does it in Vtec cant hear ova the Greddy exhaust.
Thanks

What valve springs are you running?
Do you realize you have to have a break-in period?
What oil are you using?

I assume you put new rings on the pistons. When you do, you need to break the engine in properly. Probably not the cause of your tapping, but very important nonetheless.

Engine oil: I mean are you using regular or synthetic?

You should never run synthetic oil during break-in. It's too "slippery", and the rings won't seat properly.
