Sooo...want me to test the 4-1 Header?

Dyno numbers look good for a stock motor...I mean honestly gains like that across the board are very impressive.

So do you want to see it on a built motor vs. a Greddy header?

I would love to see it on a built motor, as it would give a better idea of how it might behave on a blown motor.

That would be perfect! Those two headers are actually the ones i have been debating over, same price range too.

If you could dyno those two headers, I would be very grateful and would help me make an informed decision

Adjustible lenght collector..... DOH!!! Joel, do you know how much a real tunable collector costs ?!? Burns Stainless doesnt even list prices and they do list prices for inconel tubing... LOL = $500-$1000 easy, or weeks of fab time to make one at home..

YOUR GONNA KILL ME JOEL!!! Realy though, it wouldnt be worth the time on a header that is coupled to a full exhaust system to play to much with collector length (assuming a decent startign point). On an open header it makes a huge difference, but when you've got 6'+ of pipe behind that.... Now collector DIAMETER and internal design is definately somthing to play with!!!

as soon as i get those flanges from Chad i can start on the next set! It looks like all need more flanges right away though... Hope to send some headers to Texas, Toronto and i might have to hand deliver them to Puerto Rico cause the weather in MI isnt as nice...

I've got a meeting with Livernois to talk about doing a fab run, ill post the outcome of that (hopefully within the week).

Also I'm kinda concerned about the ground clearance....Brett is your car lowered? I have a feeling I would own this header on my driveway everyday!

adjustable collector on H22 = waste of time

Why don't you dyno the header he already has? Dyno the "new and improved" version later otherwise you've lost your baseline. Or redo the baseline on the "revised" one.

BTW I'll have a new Dynojet baseline for my car in a week or two. I'll dyno any header...but I think Brett wants to leave that one on his car and build the 4th gen version?

Im waiting on my next set of flanges (ohhhhh Chad just kidding, huricanes are toublesome).. and then i can start building the next prototypes. I'll have two sets of flanges to work with, what i build those for is seccondary. I know Todd's racer friend has been interested for awhile, id like to send on down for his SH.

Joel, do whatever you want man. I've been working on this header for 10+ months now, theres only so fast a project like this goes. Anything that requires this much energy, skill
and labor from so many people, not just me, takes time. Id be happy to build ony of the next two for the 4th gen vtec, but if your in a big rush do whatever you need to do.

Im also waiting on Livernois's R&D guy to get back from a CA buisness trip, to have a meeting with him. In adddition to that, i sent info and spoke with Hotshot regarding produciton. The sum of that conversation was, "sure we could definately do that type of work, but it would need to be in the 30-50 unit range". I think this is a good design and could see selling that many units, but organizing that type of capital would be difficult.

BTW: http://www.hungry-ae.com Im now registered as a SP in Washtenaw County, MI. w00t!!!!!! Maybe one day i'll make money and become a po.com sponsor... or at very least i'll get a nice tax writeoff this year !?!?

Still need the dyno files, I need to do more comparisons. And get SAE numbers to compare against other dyno graphs.

And what about that collector? Is it formed or what?

the collector exterior is a long hydrolicly formed piece, the pipes ends are heat formed and there is other internal geometry that im not going to talk about prior to a comercial product release.

im geussing your going to toss around the marketing term "merged collector" now.... you'll need to define that.

collector design is an art/complex science, there are a number of factors, NOT ONLY how shallow angled the pipe joints are. I did LOTS of reading and talking and did the best i could givin my resources. I think my collector is better that any *comercialy* available part for the H22 for several specific reasons, and the next version will have 2 improvements. I would like to play with a 2.25" outlet though, might be better for NA motors.

Burns stainless, Hytech and the guys doing JR's new RSX header have great design$. Id love to get my hands on a collector that was desined by them for my motor (anyone have $300+ to donate?) To answer in a word, yes it is a formed collector.
