SMSP header

Well, i didnt know where to quite put this, but oh well. I ordered my smsp header and im patiently awaiting its arrival(rather his email confirming final payment). When i was talking to dave, i completely blanked and forgot to ask him for an aproximate eta... .... well, i was not trying to rush, so i decided to ask around for anyone who has a smsp header, basically, how long was it before you had it in your hands?

i was only going to send him one email asking for an eta, but i promised myself i wouldnt bug him during fabrication. i will be patient and not rush him. i know his work is kickass and i just cant wait.....lol

carlos

p.s. once it goes on......DYNO time...lol

It was a few months before I had mine. David is a good guy, and he'll come through, so don't worry about it.

How did you pay for it? Does he accept credit cards or does he want certified cheques? I'm still saving up for mine

It was like 4 or 5, IIRC, and it was a limited run of 10. I'd think one offs would take even longer. It's the price you pay for custom pieces.

For mine it was about 2 months, you are in the good hands.

BTW, are you running Power FC for your H22? How do you like it?

2 months for the SMSP is not bad considering it is custom. I thought the Apexi Power FC didn't have a Prelude application. I'm using Greddy E-manage. It works beautifully

i think me and you are both waiting for the same batch of headers.

i gave him my deposit and im waiting for his confirmation on when to send the final payment.

he did give me the ETA of "this month". so it should be done by late november, early december.

sorry i kind of dissapeared from keepin this updated, tryin to make sure im here often. I work way too damn much, with this damn XBOX 360 launch and the holidays coming, im gettin used to the 6 day 60 hour work weeks again....f'in retail....lol

you guys are right on the power fc, there is no application for the prelude but its very easy to get one to work on the lude. key not would be that you would have to go from obd1-obd2 (only thing involved is a conversion harness)......that sounds bad to most, but in reality its not. oh, i love the power fc. for the time being i am knockin a little when i run pump gas, its on a diet of 100+ until i get my header from dave, and then im going to dyno it and tune it.....(tuning on an fc.....meh). there is a pro drag car out there with an h22 that i cant seem to remember his name,..........well, hes got an h22 with power fc, and that gave me the idea.

i never went into specs on my car because i was waiting to dyno and show you, but since it could be any day now that dave asks for final payment, i will let you in on my project:

92 prelude s
93 h22 stock block
custom h22 head built by jdmconcepts
-custom valves, springs, retainers
-custom set of prototype cams ( i really got to get a camera so you can just hear this beast!!)
Custom Euro-r Intak manifold
Custom TB- properly ported and matched to IM with delete of coolant passages and misc.
rc injectors, stock fuel rail, stock fuel pump(walbro on its way)
ps,ac, removal
DC header(crap until i get smsp)
custom 2.52 id exhaust mated to my apex dunk(Old school, but i like it)
m2a4 tranny- act clutch(dumping real soon) lightened flywheel.
throughout the build i replaced many of the parts in which i believed needed to go, replaced tensioiner, timing belt and all misc maintenance parts.
beast is overseen by apexi power fc.

my goal....- my goal is to beat aries on pump gas and race gas.
his current power which has great power under curve, is 233 (without hytech header)
he does have a built block though, so if i fall a little short...im not to worried, ill get em...lol
static cr should be somewhere around 11.8-12.2 if not a tad higher.........oh im almost done.
