skunk2 pro2 cams

Hi

I was wondering since im soon to get new cams and valve springs and stuff like that. But I was wondering if you actually can hear the difference between stock cams and skunk2 pro stage 2 cams while Idle? If its tuned in good. I know a rely good dude who does ecTune. He tells me that he can tune it in so you wouldn't hear the difference.? Is that really possible, reason Im asking is I dont want ppl to hear that Ive plugged in new cams and stuff, especially not the guy whos gonna check the car every 2nd year. If you understand me

Regards Rasmus

skunk 2 pros got larger idle lobes. crower stage 2 has the same idle cams as stock. pretty sure he can't make it sound the same as stock.

It will make a little more noise at idle, but its nothing terribly significant...a trained ear can tell though.

Stage 2 cams won't see a huge improvement without upping the red line and adding valve train components, timing and tuning. But once this is done you will notice a pretty solid difference. Those are good cams. And unless the California emissions guy is Stephan Papadakis, he probably won't sprint across the room and rip open you motor and triumphantly hoist above his head a non-C.A.R.B camshaft.

They love to pull hard in the high RPM (8,000+rpm). I'm not sure exactly how much they are helping over stock cams, but my entire N/A setup is making about 50+ whp more than a bone stock H22 with stock exhaust on my last dyno.
