Im about to get my car back this week. I will have skunk 2 stage 2 cams, gears,ti retainers, springs, valves, and p+p head, three-angle valve job, extrude honed intake mani( as much as possible due to butterfly valve). My other mods are Intake/Header/Exhaust/Clutch and flywheel/msd 6al/fpr/ and VAFC. This will be dyno tuned! WHat numbers do you think i would put down, on a dynojet? I just want to be happy, i had a 50 shot of n20 on it before, do you all think it will be as fast as it was with that 50 shot?
Man I can not wait to see the dyno....... That would be great if you get the smae numbers has the 50 shot but for some reason I doubt it....

Moving to NA. Probably not as fast as with the 50 shot, the cams and porting should net you some decent gain if the head shop didn't remove too much material. If it is tuned right I'd say 20HP over stock peak and maybe more mid-band depending on the exact work.

You have to be joking. The shaft is as thick as a pencil. You have a pencil partially blocking your intake and you don't remove it??? It takes up 20% of the room in the secondaries! If you have head work and can flow more air take em out. There is a huge diff in high rpm power when they're out of there. Mike
A mechanic i know is doing all of the work, except for the headwork, a machine shop that does all of the guys motors at a local speedshop is doing it. I sure hope its faster than with a 50 shot dry kit, cause I will have 2800 dollars in it labor and parts together.
It ran 9.37@78 in the eighth mile, i dont have a quarter around close. That was on the bottle. I never had it dynoed with the bottle and healthy cause the reason im doing this work is because of bent valves. I had it dynoed sick, it got (167.8), but i have no print outs, i will get both if he saved it and the new ones after the work.
Wow this sounds like it should give good gain. based on how your dyno turns out, i might just go ahead and get me the same thing done. Except i have SS and not a 5spd. but oh well. still anything better then stock.

i thought about and had a car handy from which i was gonna swap out the parts, unfortunatly i decided against it. #1 I couldnt be without the car for more then a day since its my daily driver and #2 i figure...if it didnt come with it then i should do it. I rather get another car thats much faster and has more potential then to screw with the lude. Besides my car is leased. I think it would be crazy to get the car in SS and then when the lease is up bring it back in a 5spd mode. So i'll just keep her as is. Besides in NYC traffic auto is soo easy.

You ran 9.37 with I/H/E and a 50 shot with your 5th gen 5spd?

I really miss my SS sometimes. It's great being able to just cruise around and not have to deal with shifting, but now that I have the 5 speed I couldn't imagine going back to an auto.
