RM H22 VTEC Cams???

Anyone ever heard of these "Rocket Motorsports H22 VTEC Camshafts"? Apparently they're regrinds. What's the pros/cons of regrinds. They seem to make good power looking at the dyno the site provided. And they're relatively cheap! Here's a link to them http://www.kteller.com/store/product...oducts_id/1070

240 duration at 0.050 and 11.5mm lift for both in/ex

Converted that 11.5mm to .453(in)/.453(ex) (is that the right conversion for gross lift?..someone double check me)

Crower Stage 2's are:

Int-248 mid Exh-240 mid @ 0.050 with gross lift Int-.466 mid Exh-.465 mid

I don't really know much about lift and all that. Can someone shed some light on how these cam's compare?

The regrinds are a good step up from type S cams... Ill be working with Rocket in the very near future to develop a series specs ground from new cores...

I have a nasty street motor in the works that will be using several different sets of RM cams

Why would anyone want to run stock valvetrain with any cam upgrade?

Even if stock valvetrain "can" handle the lift and rpm of a upgraded cam why chance it? OEM valvetrain was designed specificly around the lift and rpm needs of the stock cams. When you go beyond that your living on the limits of the valvetrain. Dropped valves become a more common issue...

If your going to go with cams that are more agressive than stock dont half ass it, get the valvetrain to go with it... Its added isnurance

Hold on a minute. Rick, the last I heard you were all over Rocket's case, specifically about his cams. What the hell is the deal with that?

I apologized and made things right between him and I... I also made a promise to him and his friends that I would replace all the negativity I caused 3 times over with positivity...

Ive made some good friends in the process...

My first baby is due anyday, when i found out I was going to be a father it changed my life... Made me rethink some of the things I had done, made me want better for myself, my friends, my family, my fiance, my career and my little baby girl that will be here any day now...

Having kids changes you...

I tried patching things up with Larry, went as far as aplogizing to him as well... A short while after that he started sending e-mails to several people in the industry insulting people who are and have been friends of mine, lying about things here and there to make himself look better than others...

I just left that alone, some times you cant fix everything, I have no interest in trying any further with Larry, I think its best left as is... not liking one another

b'dee, b'dee, b'dee... thats all folks

Is it just me, or is something seriously wrong with the torque graph? Notice it also says flywheel? Why so low? What other mods were done to the H22a that was dynoed?

If its legit, those are some awesome HP gains.

I was really excited at first, but after noticing these I am going to wait for the feedback of someone that actually had these cams installed. I mean $300 (+$50 core) is an awesome deal, just would like to hear some firsthand opinons.

Don't worry about the flywheel HP thing, all dynapacks say that. It's measured at the wheel.

You need to have a look at the thread on H-T (too lazy to find it right now). Basically the motor had bent exhaust valves, so the dyno isn't very useful. I haven't seen a dyno yet of these cams, so I can't tell how good they really are. However, I think Rocket is on the right track with his cams, so I wouldn't be surprised if they make great power. I would love to see a real shootout between his cams and Jun3's.

I read a thread over on H-T mentioning it, It wasn't conclusive.

I think it looks like a B series Vtec motor dyno. But those are still some good numbers.

It just seems to me that if a company is going to come out with any new part for a car that they would do a better job of marketing ... The only dyno I have seen for these cams as of yet is for a car that had a bunch of bent valves... maybe these cams are VERY new and I am jumping the gun and not giving the company enough time to put out more info. I am going to try and contact that company and see if I can find out more...
