Questions regarding CAI

Hey there, long time lurker here and use the search button as often as possible but couldn't seem to find any decent information.

Are there any drawbacks to air "bottlenecking" at the throttle body from a CAI?
I've had the same ebay CAI on my prelude since I first bought the car and always wondered if there where any horses being lost due to 70mm (or so) intake tubing connected to a 62mm throttlebody? It seems there would be since I hear all the time that if you want to go with a bigger throttle body you need to port-match the IM to the correct size. I don't plan on buying a bigger throttle body, this is why I ask this question.

I only want real serious answers from somebody who knows what they're talking about. I hate reading threads with only a few serious posts.

Thanks!

Oh btw I've just got to put this out here. I just spent the past hour reading threads about this. Don't ever buy a UR pulley. I've looked it up. If your pulley has no weight without a damper the torsional vibration from the crankshaft will mess up your engine. EXPLAINED!!!!

Bottle necking "as you call it" is not an issue. The air in the CAI intake tube has very little velocity except at high RPMs/ Your biggest issue with most CAIs is the heated air they ingest from the engine compartment. If the kit even has it those flakey walls that try to seal off the filter do almost nothing. Your gonna loose more power from ingesting 140 deg air from the engine compartment that you will gain from the marginal increase in airflow.
