Mav, what cams are you using and how much did it cost for your bottom end.

thedread:

The head is stock apart from whatever is listed...

Bottom end? well the only real upgrade in the bototm end was the pistons which ran me around $250 USD w/o rings. I dont remember the xact $ value of how much the machining was....i do remember that all the machining (milling, valve job, hone/bore) all came to around $500 CDN.

These runs were actually made a few months back.....a lot of people were shocked to see the amount of power put down...as a baseline even. stock cams, no tuning. It was begging for some high lift cams.

Since then i've had to sell the car+motor with it, it was a H22A4 in a 97 SH. Now im looking to build a H22A1 similiarly, but with some cams this time and standalone ecu. I should have results by next summer

Cool. Talk about hp on a budget. I'm in the process of sprucing up my 4th Gen. So far, I done bolt ons and suspension. Next is the engine and then body. I'm looking at probably going your route, but with headwork and Jun cams and valve springs. Hopefully, I can touch the 200 barrier

actually...that setup alone ran me about $6000 CDN.

1800 of that was labor, the rest was R&R/aftermarket (i.e pistons, clutch etc.)

http://www.ludehawk.com/dyno/13march/dyno2.rm
The later Dyno had a tq spike, adjusted based on graph. When I get the raw data, i'll post it up.

I dyno'd April 7, 2004

1994 VTEC
160,000 miles (give or take)
Performance mods:
1. DC Sports DAC
2. GReddy Header
3. GReddy Evo I exhaust
4. (now) tuned VAFC

Max HP: 166.92
Max TQ: 142.01

i think the numbers are pretty low. But given the fact that it has 160K miles and there was very little cool down (and no fan in front of the radiator), she did ok. Plus, I'm still running rich after 6k. I dont have the A/F charts, though I wish I did.
