Port Match IM to TB Question

hey guys, I did I search but didn't really get what i'm looking for....

so here my situation...

next week: the following are going into my car

crower stage 2 cams
skunk 2 valvetain + retainers + cam gears
greddy-emanage (with ignition control)

now, how important is it to portmatch the IM to the TB and bore the TB?

I've been quoted 400$ to do this, without removing the IM, just port match , and bore the TB.

How much gain is this combined with the stage 2 cams?

thanks guys

for $400, just buy an ITR TB and put that on.

You want to have a mismatch actually, with the inlet of the IM plenum slightly larger than the outlet of the TB to discourage reversion... You want a similar mismatch between the head and the IM- with the intake ports being slightly larger than the IM.

People talk crap about the skunk2 all day long. Honestly, My Mid range has really phattened up with this manifold. I don't know why people bash it so much...aside from the pita install. By the way what's the diff between the original mani and the pro series one?
