I am moving this to the N/A forum.

A p28 cannot natively drive the IAB wire. p28s were originally designed for b16 engines, which have a single stage runner IM with no IAB mechanism. I believe there is space on the PCB to solder in the transistors to drive this signal. I believe the pin on the connector is unused by default, which means you can connect it to the IAB transistors if you add them yourself.

All the information to do all this used to be on PGMFI.org. I have learned that PGMFI is now down, and I have no idea if/when it is ever coming back. I would suggest you try doing a Google search and a Honda-Tech search for the terms p28 and IAB and you might find the directions to do this.

Good luck.
