opinions please

just curious, i have a 2.3 smallblock, missing tranny, everything else is there minus the head of course. how much is that worth with just over a hundred thou mi on it? also no cylinder damage, did not smoke or knock when running. this isn't for sale just would like to know. thanks.

That's "shortblock." Smallblock implies that it is the "smaller" of blocks offered by a manufacturer which isn't the case with the H series.

It's worth <$500 even in good shape. That bottom end is pretty common and not in high demand (sorry).

thanks for the correction marcucci, if you try hard enough you learn something new everyday. I plan to tear it down and prepare it for turbo, or at least i'd like to, it will take some time but I just didn't want to pay a lot for something I was going to tear apart anyway. Thanks for replies fellas. and since this is my first such project I'll prob. be sniffing around for more advise as it comes along.
