New Timing Belt?

So I routinely take my Prelude in for maintenance or things which I want done on it to a local automotive shop. Everytime I go the shop says that they recommend having the timing belt replaced. I've had the Prelude for about 27k miles (2&1/2 years) and I don't know how often it should be done and if it has ever been done on my Prelude. I generally ignore the *Suggestions* they give me as some of them are ridiculous. (Told me I needed new wiper blades and new brake pads when I had just put brand new ones on the day before as well as other random stuff.) What would be your suggestions? And how often should this be done?

Roger that, thanks. I'll get it done when I come back from Iraq.
