new all motor build question

ok so i have a couple ?'s about building an all motor h22, i have helped people build turbo and spray motors but i feel that an all motor car seems like tho most fun.

now my question is what should i do? i mean apart from the obvious (bigger tb, higher compression) what is theer to do? do you have to sleeve your block like you should in a turbo build? and what is the highest compression piston you can run before you cant use pump gas?

as of right now here is my idea for a build:
INTAKE AND EXHAUST
-70mm or 72mm throttlebody
-ported intake manifold or find a euro r intake manifold
-either RMF or bisimoto headers
-3" minimum exhaust piping all the way back

HEAD
-probably a CROWER full valvetrain with stage 3 cams. possibly stage 2 cams
-valve job and polish the head
-iv heard about shaving the head for higher compression as well as a thinner headgasket but not sure if that is true

BLOCK
-block guard and possibly sleeves? only if needed
-high compression pistons, thinking either 11.5-12.1 JUN supers
-crower or JUN H-beam rods with clevite bearings
-balanced h23 crank

If you want to use aftermarket pistons, you will need to resleeve the block. Most aftermarket pistons (all expect Mahle) won't work with FRM.

Not only that with those pistons youd want to be careful with both shaving and a thinner head gasket to make sure theres clearance.

yeah i believe nippon and mahle are the only brands you can use with frm =/ i was thinking of the jun super series because they are supposed to work too, but thats a lot of compression for the stock sleeves... you guys have any idea on a really torquey build? ive heard the higher the compression and displacement the better torque numbers but i also want to rev high. so im thinking h23 crank balanced... any other ideas of how to get more torque out of it?

Longer runners with smaller plenium = more lower end torque. Shorter runners with a larger plenium = more high end torque

Just remember that stroke and torque and redline are all in conjection with each other. The longer the storke, the greater the torque the less the redline. The shorter the stroke, the lolwer the torque the higher the redline. If you wnated to make torque engine, the make with long stroke, large pistons, and lowere redline with an IM that s nuilt for it (like mentioned above).

ok well i guess i should say what i want to build the car for, i want to start doing road coursing, and things like that im not much of a drag guy, beside the prelude wasnt deigned for straight lines lol. but other than that i would only want it for playing with at local meets and stuff.

so im guessing the most beneficial thing would be to build it for low to mid range torque? what about the h23 crank and rods? would that help at all? its only .1 litres difference
