Added a 14'' Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator too, not trying to have a loud exhaust at all..hopefully my local "Albany Speed Shop" doesn't take too long on everything..

Ah the hell with it. Run that auto trans into the ground so you have a reason to swap it to 5spd! I used to have an auto lude. Personally I hated it, that's why I sold it. The standard is 10000x more fun.

Nice, what's your set up? Oh sorry, haha posted that vid pretty late. I just meant any bottle type resonator that your local exhaust shop carries.

lol yes I do plan on driving the auto until it sh*ts the bed then doing a manual swap. I'd sell the car if I didn't have so much invested in it, plus the car is in perfect condition.

I figured one 22'' magnaflow and a 14'' vibrant resonator should do the trick on any obnoxious ricer noises. Just waiting on the UPS gods to deliver all the goodies at this point.

Originally I was going to do Kteller 3" SS piping, 18" vibrant bottle resonator, and either the vibrant streetpower black muffler(dual tip or single) or the HKS carbon ti muffler. I still cant decide on the muffler but youve given me an idea to add the vibrant quite resonator. The problem is im thinking of running a high flow cat and dont know if ill have space for the two resonators.

To the OP: sorry to be bugging in youre thread. I would say do it anyways and just like aznjap said it will give you a reason later to do a 5sp swap. I personally dont like hearing an exhaust on an auto just because when its under load and when it shifts down and back up and down again it just doesnt sound that great but thats just my opinion you do what you want cuz its your car.

Nice, those hks muffler are pretty decent also. But I prefer the vibrant, not only because they look pretty stockish, but also they're quieter than the hks. Also, depending on your drop, the hks is pretty big and might scrap (my n1 did)

Exactly, that's why I put it where the cat is.

No worries about bugging up my exhaust thread, all of this chit-chat is helping me actually lol. Yea any pics of the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator install would be nice. Do you think this will all fit? I mean a 22'' magnaflow and a 14'' vibrant resonator plus the 13'' long high flow cat.

As far as the muffler goes, it's a vibrant TPV like i mentioned above...it's an n1 style muffler so using two resonators would drown out the automatic shifting "annoyance". IF everything fits that is.

ya the vibrant seems to be more quieter and deeper. One reason why I dont really like the can style on a prelude is because the rear bumper doesnt have a decent size cut in it like some other cars have for example

I hope you get my point. It just doesnt seem to fit on the prelude. It just sticks out. But im pretty sure i can angle it right plus with the value sports rear lip coming in soon it should fit pretty good. Heres what it will look like.

I have a full wings west rs lip kit so I'm hoping she fits nice. Nothing to do now but get it installed, dyno'd and post videos.

In my Video, I have a full wwrs kit. If I were you, I'd trim off from the bumper. We had a problem with it hitting the bumper so it was either have it mounted inside, or hang it lower. I chose to hang it lower. That is if you don't mind cutting your bumper though lol.

Btw, Just came back from the dyno with the new exhaust,

New Numbers:228Hp And 192 Tq

Old numbers with 2.5" exhaust: 215Hp And 194 Tq.

So I guess I lost a couple pounds of tq, but gained like 13 hp!

I'll post up the dyno graph when I can scan it.

I better not have to trim the bumper ouch. I'll have them hang it lower, use longer hangers or w.e

prob doing a tranny cooler install and fresh tranny fluid put in as well. Performing fine with 92000 on it just being safe.

You don't have to trim the bumper. I just think it would look a lot better if it's cut instead of hanging low. Hell, I would've cut my bumper if I had the chance lol. It's only the bottom part anyways. Not like it's gonna really matter.

Update!

My local shop is 95% done with the header and exhaust install

They just took me in the garage for a final fitting of the muffler to the rear lip so it shouldn't be too much longer!

I'll post pictures/video tomorrow when all is said and done!!

wooooowoooooo
