more cheap reliable power

i have an h23a3 and i'm looking to get some more power out of it. i have header back exhaust and intake. everyone tells me that it is a non-vtec p.o.s. and to swap to an h22 but i love my h23 i just wanna make her faster. any suggestions would be great. thanks.

I have two ludes one with h23 and other with jdm h22, the h23 sucks compared to the
h22. The only good thing about the 23 i have read around here is that it is good for boosting other than that it will never be the 22. If you are hell bent on keeping the 23 i would start getting parts for a engine build to boost it.

You can put a h22 head on the h23 to get the vtec, lots of threads on that subject.

Unless you want to do a turbo (which by the looks of it, you don't), the only other option is to install a nos kit.

Nothing else other than a full swap or turbo will give you the returns of a nos kit.
