knocking in h22
hey guys
im thinking bout trading my 92 civic ex for a 94 integra with h22a
its knocking and he has no tools to look into it
says the head gasket seems to be fine and no water in the oil(checked the dip stick)
so it could be either oil pump or oil pan along with pickup
so if i make the trade...im first going to check the oil pan(might just replace it) and the pickup
i know u can check the block and crankshaft to get the right main and rod bearing
i would like to do just the bare minumal for now....but ill do a rebuild in a few months
i have done some research on this and still have a few questions
rough estimate....how long would the motor have to be knocking before crank or cylinder walls would to have any scaring?
could the problem be somin to do with oil starvation?
im just nervous about the walls haveing any scars...since it has the frm and i really dont know to much about it
sry i cant get u a clip to listen to the knocking
so if anyone could chime on this....i would appreciate it
