JDM H22a Internals into USDM H22a1 help

Whats going on.I got a JDM H22a block with ABAA pistons with bad cylinder walls. And also have a USDM H22a1 block witch has a spun rod bearing, but with BBAA pistons with good cylinder walls. Is it possible I could transfer all the internals of my JDM block to the USDM block without a problem with A-B Piston issues, since B pistons are slighly smaller. Thankss

I would only swap pistons which match the bore size. Only use an A piston in an A bore and so on. The crank and rods will swap right over, although you will have to re-measure the bearing clearances anytime you change cranks and/or blocks. This means you need new bearings, and you will have to go through the procedure to measure them, which is a PITA.

However, keep in mind that if you remove the pistons, you have to get new rings and hone the cylinders. If you don't you will have compression problems and high oil consumption.

There are lots of threads on this subject in the Library sticky, so I highly recommend you read through them.
