Help ! 86 /87

I realize this isn't the right place to ask but I don't know where else to go.
I'm 800 miles from home and don't have my maintenance manual with me and this has never happened before.
I own 3 86/87s, just bought Tysons 91 and an NSX and there's almost no bolts and nuts I haven't touched over the years UNTIL!
Changed fuel pump because installed ones making buzzing noise. Changed fuel filter, plugs, cleaned throtle body.
Car runs great until about 15 minutes it cuts out from fuel starvation. Jerks and momentarilly quits and then back on. NO fuel smell anywhere!
If I stop after it starts jerking and shut it off and wait a few minutes it runs ok for another 15 minutes or so.
Code is flashing 3 times. Don't have manual to see what 3 flashes are.
Seems fuel pickup in tank may be cloged or possibly tank seal for access plate for the sending unit leaking?
Again, no fuel smell.
I have to be back to work sunday night 800 miles back and thinking of droping fuel tank just to look if nothing else. I have all tools and droping tank shouldn't be a big deal.
Seems if the seal is bad i'd smell fuel.
When I remove gas cap there's no pressure hiss at all.
HELP

Cheers
nigel

Help 86/87

More info. Now I dscovered that the 3 code must have been a dormant code because the PGM-FI light never came on the whole 800 miles up here.
This morning the PGM-FI light came on and flashed a 12 code.
Please help me out, i'm stranded.

Cheers

Nigel, nobody on this board knows much of anything about 2nd gen cars. I think you are on your own.

Fuel problem

I pulled the fuel tank just to check for partial blockage and any other visible problem. Nothing visible.
Thinking maybe check valve on tank, just cant figure it out. Fuel tank has always built pressure on all my Preludes, (3) but this one isn't.

Cheers
