Header/Muffler doing anything?

98 Base H22A4/5sp
DC Sport Header and A'Pexi muffler. BUT it looks like everything in between the header and muffler is stock. So, am I really gaining anything? If not, I'll put a stock muffler back on this thing and not draw so much attention from Johnny Law.

Yeah, you probably aren't gaining anything. DC headers don't usually get much praise around here. As for the muffler, well, it's loud.

I've noticed that about DC, but it was on the car when I bought it along with the Apexi.
I guess I'll measure the exhaust pipe diameter to make sure and if it's 2" I'll be posting up to trade my Apexi for a stock setup.

instead of that just go to a muffler shop and get 2 1/2'' piping!! if u want a nice deep tone get a hi flo cat and a resonator!! this might help a little with performance

Yeah, you are most likely not really gaining anything. The DC is = or < stock in performance.
