H23 engine and trany swap

I am currently swapping engines/transmissions in two preludes I have. One has a great body/ interior, blown motor ('96), the other trashed body/great engine ('95). Both H23s. Here is my dilemma, I want to keep the good engine with 5 speed together and swap them into the car with blown engine with auto trans. Mechanically it's a piece of cake. But what am I getting into electrically, specifically, the speed sensor and neutral safety switch. Does anybody have any suggestions or info on this? Thanks in advance

I actually don't know the answer to your question but you're the first person to say it's a piece of cake swapping in a manual to auto. I mean theoretically it's not hard but I think it's a pita.

Good luck.

Assuming the h23 is similar to the h22 on electronics...

You will lose wiring and have much you can disconnect swapping to the manual. The VSS is the only sensor I've seen alot replace with a specific manual one, and even then some do not. Compare the two harnesses before hand and double check though.

I'm not either but if you're keeping the 1996 one, I think you might want to research on the 5th gen forums about them swapping over to obd1 motors.
