H22ag1

There are so many H22A-whatevers that I don't know the difference. But I found an H22AG1 for sale and I was wanting to know all the different ones there are and their differences.

Well the h22a1 is the normal US vtec motor.

JDM was h22a.

I know there was some other engine codes out there for different regions but I don't know off hte top of my head what that is.

Have you tried a google search? How much is this engine? Why not just find a normal h22a1 or h22a like most ppl?

I tried but I went to JDM online and it seemed to be the only place I could find one. the engine is 1,600 and it comes with the tranny as well.

JDM H22A '92-95 Prelude VTEC Automatic [H22AG1-Auto] : JDM-Online.com, JDM Engines & Accessories

This is the engine i'm looking at, the specs are the same and it says H22A on the main page but when I bring up the specs it says H22AG1.

from the years of research that ive done on all the different engines,

Honda remanufactured engines in Austraillia, Guam, New Zealand etc....most of the ones i find with H22(insert letter here)1 are Honda Factory Remanufactured engines. they attach the letter between the numbers to signify the location and that its from Honda.

but as far as it being any different than a normal h22a1, its not.

hope that helps some.

Wow, that's an amazing bit of trivia. Natalie does know everything!

So, it's an H22A? Because that price seems almost too good to be true considering I found them mainly for 2500-3000 elsewhere.

A low mileage longblock (no trans) JDM import can be had for $1200 or less. Trannies typically go for around $800 or less. I would expect to pay no more than $2k (without shipping) for a JDM longblock + MT.

^Yeah, 2.5k to 3k would be enough for a S Spec or Type S
