H22a4 and Type S Pistons

I just had my engine rebuilt, and it seems like the they guy rebuilding my engine can't find the piston rods for the original pistons. And he says if he can't find it hes gonna have to replace the entire piece from another car. Anywho, my father asked the guy what if we had him install some Type S pistons instead. He said they would fit but he would have to do a lot of modding to the engine because of all the power they generate. What all has to be done to my H22a4 engine so i can install some Type S pistons?????? Also, is it expensive???

You might want to search this since many people have done it.

I do believe you have to get your block sleeved or something along those lines.

Please read the library, that's why it's there:
What's involved in switching to type-s pistons?

heh, find a good honda-engine mechanic that has done it before and has a good connection in a machining shop imo. But, no, you do not have to resleeve with mahle gold or honda type-s pistons as somebody pointed out in that thread, honing is the necessary machine work so you will want to get the oversized type-s pistons.
