H22A1 Block??OBD2 Head

Will a A1 block work ok with a OBD2 car? I know a guy that is willing to sell me the entire H22a1 motor for CHEAP. Just didn't wanna waste money. I know that the only difference that I could find is that A1 block is closed deck and the Journal is 5mm smaller. I plan on stripping the A1 block down and putting in sleeves and higher compression pistons...etc type of a build.

There is no such thing as an OBD2 head. All the head castings from 92 on are the same for JDM and USDM motors.

Thanks ...I had been told that the H22A4 head which is OBD2 would not work on the A1 block (OBD1). Is there any issues that you have heard of between the two??

all you would need is the closed deck (92-95) head gasket to make the head fit correctly.

other than that you will need to take the crank sensor, timing gear and balancer shaft gear from your a4 block to make it work in an OBD2 prelude.
