H22A Type S vs reg H22

Let's say for a canadian Prelude SE (with the leather and all), without ATTS, would it be possible to install the type S engine? I've done a search, but i've ended up a bit more confused than before

You see a type S engine and tranny, but it is only rated @ 200HP just as regular H22's. Is this normal? Should it not be 220HP?

No, you can't put a type S in any of the models that didn't originally come with ATTS. For the most part, that means it will only fit in an SH or type S.

The type S does make a little more power than other h22's mainly due to higher compression and a better flowing IM and head, among other things. So yes, it is usually rated at about 220 crank hp.

You could probably do a type SH conversion on your SE model. You would have to swap out the suspension from your non-ATTS SE model with that of a type SH. There would be lot of other things to switch over too, wiring, sensors and what not, before you put in your ATTS equipped engine and transmission.

It would be a lot of work but anything is possible.
