H22a Knock HELP!!!

I have a 94 prelude with H22 swap, GUDE racing head, headers, bored T/B and manifold, p13 ecu, yada yada yada, the works. Okay, so its making a crazy a$$ noise when i start it, and when its reved up over 2k rpms. Heres a little history on this noise, it started as a small buzz, say around christmas, but it souned like something was loose, or rattling but i couldnt find it. Over the next few weeks it got progressively louder, but diddnt change sound. Then one day it went away, and diddnt come back for 2 days. I had a broken flex pipe, i thought (was hoping) that thats all it was, i welded in a new flexpipe, the exhaust sounded better, but the noise was still there. Once the exhaust was fixed it started it while on the lift and it sounded ( to me and another mechanic) like the clutch was loose. SOOO me being lazy and not having acess to the lift for about a week or so, i brought it to digital sound in hartford and had them swap out the clutch ( i figured its gonna be apart, might as well do the clutch so i dont have to later) I also had them double check the bolts on the flywheel. i picked up my car, and sure in $#it the noise was still there. I asked they guys there what they thought and they said it was because i removed my balance shaft belt, HOWEVER, i have done some pretty good research on this and have talked to a dozen or so ppl who have done it with NO issues, so i do not believe that it is related. besides the belt was removed 15,000 miles ago. Next thing i did was remove the starter and check to make sure the bendix was returning, and it is. Then i removed the valve cover and made sure the head is getting oil and it is. i checked the plugs, they look like theyre a little hot on the hot side, but not bad. Timing belt seems a little loose ( if you ask me) but i checked the timing and it is dead on the marks. Im going to tighten it up in the morning. BUt after that im out of ideas short of tearing apart the motor, maybe crank beaging? rod? wrist pin? Ive talked to a bunch of people on this, and ive gotten answers ranging from, " toss some mystery oil in it" ( from a certified tech that i paid for a diagnosis... stupid..) to " your balance shafts arent getting oil" ( theyre disabled dumb a$$) to " check your flywheel" (DID IT) to "bad vtec solonoid" (it doesnt matter if vtec is engaued or not, it still does it, and i unplugged it to confirm it anyways) " to " sun spots" ( okay i made that one up, but its better than some of the other explanations ive gotten) im a decent mechanic ( not a pro by any means, but i know my way around an engine) but this is my first honda, and ive run out of ideas. someone HELP!!! ( sorry for such the long post)Anyways, if you or someone you know is really good with these h22's, and is in the hartford area, it would be much appreciated if you could come take a listed and give me your opinion. ill even swing you some cash for your time and gas.

tear it all the way down, bore it over, put in forged pistons, check your head and rod bearings. Also check your throw out bearing. Mine started knocking and it's been a wild goose chase. I'm on my 3rd bottom end and 2nd re-worked head. Good luck

yeah, i did a compression check yesterday, 200 psi in both end cyl. and 180 and 175 in the middle two. Looks like there is an issue with them. the noise sounds like the bottom end, i think its the rod bearings. looks like im pulling the motor this weekend. Anyone know where theres a running h22 that i could swap in while i rebuild this one? (anywhere in the New England area)
