I just finished up with an JDM H22 swap in my 1990 Accord DX (5-speed) this evening. I purchased the motor, LSD tranny, and all the necessary parts from
www.homotorsonline.com. I rate them a 10 out of 10 on the swap. The motor arrived well packaged with more than what was advertised. All sensors were in good shape and the motor looked very clean. I couldn't have asked for a better setup to start the swap with.
The swap was very straight forward with all the info available on the net. The motor fired right up and we took it out for a spin. Around town, the car is no different than the h22 and actually feels a little more responsive due to the tranny differences (gear ratios). Once VTEC kicks in, it is a whole different animal.
I was using an AEM CAI and a DC sport header on the F22, but purchased the Prelude version of the intake and header when I did the swap.
I put the car on the dyno today (it is nice working at a shop with a dyno.. dyno whenever I want, lol). The car has the following mods:
AEM CAI
DC sport header
gutted cat
AEM pullies
Apex'i WS catback
ClutchMasters stage 3 clutch
I was very happy with the 183fwhp/147fwtq it put out! This compares to the 129/143 the F22 layed down previously. The only changes were the motor, prelude versions of the CAI/header, and the pullies.
Here is the dyno graph:
H22 vs F22
I have yet to spray the 75hp Zex kit on it, but will be doing that this week.

I didn't have time to get the 2-step colder plugs in, but those will be here Tuesday. This is going to be pretty fun on the gas. For comparison, the car put down 174/212 with the 75hp jets on the F22, so I'm expecting good things with the H22.
