grinding rockers crower springs and retainers

Okay im using crowers dual valve springs and titanium retainers 87093. Now my retainers dont have a D on them. Did the 87093-d retainers that require grinding the rockers have d on them?

The two rockers and the middle rocker have to be milled? Or just the two outer rockers. I need someone who has dealt with this problem in person because im sorta lost on what exactly i need to do to get the crower stage 3 cams, springs and titanium retainers to work.

thanks in advance

George

I got the skunk 2 valvetrain so it works without grinding the rocker arm...... I was told that the regrind costed a lot, so I didn't go with the crower valvetrain

what stage cams are you running?

can you be a little more clear and this? ive delt with the stage 2 and stage 3 cams. and on the stage 3 cams.. even with the D retainers there is still a little machinging (grinding) needed.

someone really should do a write-up on this with pictures. a lot of people seem to have problems with this, and it scares people away from buying them.

unfortunately, i have skunk2 S&R, so i can't help you.

You have to grind all 3 rockers on some, not on others. I had to grind all but one of them. A shop shouldnt charge you more than 50 bucks to do it, its a quick process of light grinding and measuring.

go pick up the newest issue of honda-tuning. they actually did this and they have some really good pictures that explain what to do in this exact case. they even show a before and after picture of the rocker arm.
