Whats the best way for ecu management. i have my old stock ECU and have my JDM one installed now. how would i go about reprogramming my ECU>? whats the best way to go about it? should i do if if i only have a CAI on my JDM type S? and once again i'm doing this to get the most out of my 4 banger.
I don't know of anyone that is converting the USDM BB6 ECU to a programmable set up, or the Type S ECU to programmable. You'll have to convert to something like Hondata, Chrome, or Neptune. If you have ATTS, this will cause you to lose ATTS. I don't know of anyone that has made a programmable ECU (stand alone, not piggy back) that will work with ATTS.
Emanage Ulitmate looks pretty good for SH owners... you can control fuel, timing, revs, etc with data logging to... it's pretty sweet. And it's a piggy back which means you get to keep your stock ECU.
If you think $450 is a lot for tuning, I'd suggest you stay away from stand alone ECUs. Seriously.
That's actually not to bad for full standalone tuning. I think I paid $550 CDN for the first tuning session on my Greddy E-manage. Base map building and tuning for boost.

but you can tune yourself although it might be a bit tricker since it doesn't seem like you are familiar, but i basically figured out how to tune a piggy back with a wideband from PO.com
