ECU with ITB setup help.

Hey I just got a prelude SH and am kinda new to Hondas. I have built my RX7 from the ground up so I know a thing or 2 about cars in general but need some help on 2 things.

First off, who else makes an ITB setup for the H22 besides TWM? I want to research all of my options.

Second off, what ECU(s) are recommended for an ITB setup and or nitrous setup? Obviously, a VFAC isn't going to cut it here but what would work well with an ITB setup. At first I will just have basic bolt ons, with the ITBs going on last but until then I would still like to upgrade the ECU and have it tuned for the basic bolt ons until i throw the ITBs on.

Thanks,
Phil

i can vouch for my engine builder, dave hickman

DH-Racing - Throttle Bodies is his direct link, when you call, tell him Andrew from houston told you about the site.

Ask him to draw out the basemap for your ecu there and what software you're using that will make it drivable out the garage to your tuner and saves some time on the dyno

He can do smaller custom work too if ya need him to, everything is setup and tested on a flowbench so the final product sent to you usually goes through a few different designs before yours is mailed.

Jenvey make H22 ITBs as well.

Your problem is going to be ATTS. There are no aftermarket ECUs capable of controlling the ATTS unit, not even Motec. This means you have to use the stock ECU + TCU if you want to keep ATTS. This is a big problem if you want to run ITBs.

ITBs cannot use a speed-density engine control; you can't precisely control the engine this way. The best ITB setups I have seen use a hybrid of throttle+speed/density, usually with an algorithm that closely mimics what is going on in your intake. AEM and better systems can do this (Autronic, Motec, FAST). Piggyback systems cannot, like the Greddy eManage.

You need to decide what you want more: ITBs or ATTS.
