Custom Exhaust Idea

So I bought an S2000 catalytic converter - which flows just as well as any Random Tech, and I want to build a custom exhaust using this and 2.5 inch piping. I want it all mandrel bent with a straight-thru, perforated core muffler that uses stainless steel instead of fiberglass packing...

any suggestions for piping and mufflers?

BTW, I also want it quiet - so LONG muffler and probably a LONG premuffler

Thx for any help!

Tom

Prelude Tubing Kit - $215.00 : FOX Products, at FOXRACECO.COM

i personally have that kit, + 18in resonator, moroso spiral flow muffler and a magnaflow muffler.

works really nicely and isn't SUPER loud like it would be if i didn't have all that stuff.

Man that's great! Any advantage of stainless steel over aluminized steel, outside of looks? I wanted to keep it cheap, too.

The magnaflow mufflers I would want seem to be 100-130.00. I was thinking about getting the longest I could find for the back, and the second longest for the premuffler / resonator.

Maybe I could go cheaper for the premuffler? I wouldn't mind fiberglass as long as it had perforated core instead of louvered...

So:

piping: 215.00
main muffler: 130.00
resonator: ???? (perforated glasspack of some sort- still long though)

yeah, stainless won't rust like the aluminized would.

here's my setup:

header -> magnaflow high flow cat -> magnaflow 18in resonator -> moroso spiral flow muffler -> magnaflow muffler

the piping is from kteller.

the people from endyn said that it quiets down the exhaust noise a lot while only increasing backpressure by a little bit.

U should record it and post it up on youtube to see how it sounds like! I'm running straight pipe with the same magnaflow muffler but is 2.5. I guess you could say for a straight pipe using a magnaflow muffler is not bad.
