I created a custom cold air box out of plexiglass. I used carboard to make templates, then I cut the plexi pieces a little large and worked them down to the finished product. I replaced the grey duct tape with clear duct tape because I heard it makes more HP
Here are the photos of the FINISHED PRODUCT! I call it the Notorioush intake lol..

The filter should be getting enough air since he cut a vent in his rain guard. Then again, you could always try the ram air setup I made. My SR intake tubing stays at ambient temperature
Like axion68 mentioned, there is plenty of air available and your intake tubing stays at ambient temperature. This intake totally rocks the hizzous, I am in love with it. I think everyone should have this intake, so it would be cool if I could reproduce it and sell it, but it's nothing that you guys can't recreate on your own. It's just a matter of ordering the materials and putting in the time. It should only cost around $70 and is practically free if you already own a short ram with a quality filter (K&N, AEM, Injen)!

absolutely, it's a very noticeable modification. I think it's making a lot more torque, it feels so good around town and I use less gas and clutch in first gear now!

My box was about 6" wide and maybe 5.5" inches tall. Length might have been around 8-9". It depends on how much clearance you have with your air filter and how much of a gap you have between the battery and fender. If your intake puts the filter just barely above the intake hole you can make a smaller box than me. My filter floats about 2-3" above the air inlet so I built mine the same height as the battery. I only made two sides (top and rear) because the other sides are blocked by the battery, fender, and headlight assembly.

i just took my stock airbox, widened the hole, and ran my short ram through it.its got a noticeable amount of torque compared to the plain old sri in this summer heat.this setup is also just as quiet as stock.
