*sigh* Well now that the enemy is aware of my capabilities (to date *cough* ) i may as well tell all.

I had posted the Dyno plots in the N/A Dyno thread ....but they've dissapeared. Anyhow, here's my full buildup.

IM/Head:
Milled Head
3 Angle Valve Job
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket

Block:
Type-S Oversize 0.25mm Pistons (11.1 Compression)
Bored Cylinder Block (0.25mm)
Milled Cyliner Block
Energy Suspension Polurethane Mounts

Tranny:
ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate w/ Perf. Organic Street Disc

ECU:
APEX'I VAFC (Air/Fuel Converter)
OBDII Workaround

Estimate Compression of 11.8

Baseline Dyno's (NO TUNING xcept for run 3 w/ VTEC @ 4900rpm)

I beleive the head was done 30,000th of an inch and the surface of the cylinder block as well by 20,000th. Correct me if im wrong though, i never did confirm w/ my mechanic about the top of the block being done, i just remember him mentioning something about making a better seal. Oh and im running oem head gasket. Didnt want to go overboard w/ a thinner one.

My personal impression:
I was at the track on saturday....and ran an extremely dissapointing 15.101 due to severe climate conditions (humid) and brutal 60 ft. times (2.49 was best). It's also my second time at a drag strip. Even Greek lude...ran a 15.0, out of a normally 14.8 car.
It doesnt help that i personally 210lbs and its an SH

On another day however, the 150lb/tq can really be felt. The car moves like a freight train on the hwy thanks to the 190hp. I give b16 hatches an incredibly hard time, and have ended up ahead on quite a few occasions.

thinking of getting type s pistons, should I mill the head? do you have to bore the cylinders, because the pistons are bigger then our stock bore? is it safe to bore them? What head gasket do you recommend? Should I match the pistons with type S rods? What should I do with the crank? Thanks, guys please help me, my next 2 years relys on these questions! Im a worrier!

irish: does anyone ever stop?

h22a193:

The type-s pistons will increase your compression to 11.1:1 up from 10.0. Im told the Rule of thumb is 10whp for every full point of inreased compression.

You have to look at your future plans. If you intend on getting aftermarket cams, then milling the head to further increase compression is good idea as they most cams require high compression to give good numbers.

Boring the cylinders depends upon the current condition of your cylinder walls. Ideally youd want to bore 0.25 and drop in a set of oversized pistons to ensure proper seating of the rings.

Head gasket, i stuck w/ the stock one. 11.8 estimated is high enough for me. Type-S rods arent necessary. I beleive their shot-peened vs forged, not sure though. As for the crank, i left mine as is. If anything do a balancing job on the crank/rods etc.

Mav - Your engine is BEGGING for some lumpy cams. That kind of compression would respond very well to some decent sized cams! You would easily be over 200whp.

How reliable is it to use the h23 crank and rods on the h22 motors?
