You Central Indiana kids need to head up North if you want to see some snow.

Was it verifed from the same dyno? Or did his head say "I spent X amount of money on this part and now I better get Y amount of horsepower out of it"

Plus you are comparing apples to oranges.

Putting a ram air intake on a turboprop plane probably makes more horsepower than putting one on a prelude....

Problems I have with that statement:

1) A Prelude is NOT a Mustang. You can't compare mods between the two.

2) You are listening to someone that claims he could "feel" a difference from a mod. Back when I was working at an auto parts store, I had customers swear that adding NOS octane booster to their gas turned their civics into rocket ships and they could "feel" the difference. That doesn't make it true. I think it's kind of like a placebo affect, but with HP...

3) Based on your last question, you clearly have no idea what underdrive pulleys do. Adding things to your car that you do not understand is a bad idea.

How far north are you these days? We got 1/4" of snow here and everybody freaked out and the highways were a mess.. It's like nobody around here had ever seen snow before .

Work is literally 5 minutes from the state line. I usually drive into Michigan for my breakfast break.

We got dumped on pretty hard for an hour or so tonight, but it didn't seem to stick too bad. Maybe an inch and a half. The lake effect around here is pretty unreal, I'm told.

ok i understand about the mustang thing but i know adding performance pulleys makes it easier to spin thus making the motor a little more efficient thus adding power but u never answered my question

By using underdrive pulleys which are larger than stock (and lighter weight) on the power steering pump, the alternator, or the crank pulley, you slow down the rotation of those accesories (or "underdrive" them). As a result, the PS is weaker, and the alternator produce less current. The theory behind how you are supposed gain horsepower is that by underdriving accessories, there is less parasitic draw from them. While that may be true to some extent, the HP difference in a Honda is not worth the voltage drop from the alternator and stiff steering IMO.

If I were to run underdrive pulleys with my audio system, I could almost guarantee that I would constantly be fighting with a dead battery problem.

majority of the underdrive benefit in pullies is from weight reduction off stock, you are talking ~15% from size. You'll see most benefit not in HP numbers but in how faster your engine will rev if you elect to get a crank pulley, I'd recommend fluidampr. Same idea as flywheel allowing for more acceleration via less rotational mass. Do your research on it, is still a controversial topic on h22 engines, on the k's is no big deal; ppl use crank pullies in daily drivers for hundreds of thousands of miles.

To the OP, I hope I am misreading this: you are saying you have not had the engine tuned after doing block work and valvetrain upgrades?

UR pullies are good because they are just lighter weight, but not bigger. Bang for the buck would be a GOOD header. I had a Hytech on mine, and was the best investment besides my suspension. Only if you have a true 2.5 in cat, and header is the way to go. Looks like you already have all the other work done, just need a good header and some tuning..(reading from your original post)

edit.. I made the mistake of putting theUR crank pully on, and wish I didn't. I read a lot of issue from it after I put it on my car. It's been sold since..
