i have a 97 prelude and has some engine mods such as forged cylinders and rods but i would like to add a little more power but nothing crazy such as nitrous or turbo.what would the best way be to go about this?
If FI and nitrous are out of the question then all you can really do is get intake, header, high flow cat and exhaust. Then get it tuned with something like hondata. If you don't mind the inconvenience then you can drop PS and AC for a few extra HP. Also, removing the balancer belt will add like 3whp across the board.
Looks like you already got some of the internals so there isn't too much more. I guess you can look into individual throttle bodies.
Oh and you can try weight reduction to improve your power to weight ratio.
only problem is i live in plainfield indiana and i have no idea where i could take the car to to get it tuned.not to mention this is my daily driver so i dont want nething too extreme but even with the mods it has it doesnt feel a whole lot quicker than stock.thanks tho i appreciate all the feedback
also how many horses u think i already have?no idea where a dyno is by me so maybe 200?or am i giving it too much?today the ground was a little damp but i spun the tires in 2nd without even trying.i was kinda proud lol

Yeah, I have pretty much given up on finding any import tuner shops around here. The only performance shops around here are "muscle car" places. The closest reputable shop I can find is in Ohio.

There is no possible way to know your whp without a dyno. There are shops with dyno's around if you are really curious, but like a said before, they are mostly "muscle car" places. Just google it, there are several to choose from.
The ablility to spin the tires on a wet road doesn't really mean anything. I spun the tires on my mostly stock lude several times today (sometimes intentional) on the wet roads. My tires suck in the rain.

haha yea, I have nexen tires on right now and even when i try not to spin in the rain/snow, i hardly get traction till 3rd or 4th gear...what you get for buying 30$ tires i guess.

That's what I got for buying z-rated high performance summer tires. Awesome in good driving conditions, but suck big time in the rain.

If you ever plan to add car audio stuff, stay away from the underdrive pulleys. You would only get ~1whp from that mod anyway.
Also, please don't tell me you have Z rated summer tires on your car now. Even in the light snow we had today, they would have had zero traction.
lol cmon indylude u have to give me more credit than that.of course i dont have them on now.but why would it only give me 1whp?my buddy put new ones on his mustang and he gained a good amount and could feel a difference and what would car audio have to do with it?
