Make sure you use loctite red on the flywheel bolts, and torque them to spec. Noobs always seem to blow up their stuff by not handling the flywheel bolts correctly.

you can reuse your sh axles, and you will need the midshaft from a 4g/5g base lude in place of your atts unit. it seems you are on the right track with everything. good luck.

I've had one set of flywheel bolts back out on me after years of NOT using loctite on them (on any vehicle). Billy and DR were both there watching me torque them, so it wasn't that they weren't torqued right. My personal feeling is that it was something to do with the extreme heat cycling (this was a track car) and the flywheel material. Also, same car has had the flywheel on/off before w/o loctite and did OK. I would not normally say that loctite is needed but it is cheap insurance.

High strength loctite is not necessary. The high temp stuff would be additional insurance but I've not used it and been fine.

Here is tip for DIY people.

When i first started the car, it was throwing me check engine light.

at first i thought it was probably O2 sensor since it was not connected YET.

SO, here goes after i install CAT, and exhaust, pluged in the O2 sensor harness, i was still getting engine code. SHOOT!

I plugged in the OBD2 reader, turns out misfire on cylinder #3, and random misfire (pending).

Here goes, i was wondering what the hell is wrong??? I was starting to get worried.

Well misfire usually cause from fuel delivery, after some research it was becoming more and more obvious.

I'm kinda embarrassed to say this but, my car has been sitting in the garage for about 4 years now, due to a lot of stuff. hehe

Well, obvisously octane rating of gas depreciate over time, and 4 years is probably too long.

I tried to get out the cheaper way and easier way out, I DIDN'T want to pump out my old gas and refill my tank, SO i went to closest gas station picked up 2 bottles of "octane booster".

I had about lil less than half tank of gas left, so i poured in 1 whole bottle, waited about a minute (i dont know if it's neccessary to wait or not).

Resetted the engine light via OBD2 reader, Fired it up!! and No engine light. I let it run for about 20 mins, still no engine light.

i took it for drive and i felt the joy again, and i was pretty proud of myself getting it back on it's foot!

Hopefully you guys had fun reading.

Now next, i need to fix my AC, and i need new compressor.

Too hot without AC in FL

Can i use 4th gen H22 Compressor in 5th gen?
i know most 4th gen uses R12 instead of R134...

is the compressor same?

Compressor i got with japanese motor is not gonna work since fitting size is different.

I kinda lost interest in the process, and i was also getting ready for marriage, moving out of my parents house, and also starting a new business.

It's an excuse, but i got kinda busy with other stuff...

Cool, good luck. I'm sure you'll enjoy it once you're done. It was the best money I spent on the car, I really feel the JDM H22 was a much better motor then the USDM H22a4.
