Walbro Fuel Pump Write Up/How To

I recently installed a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and did a short write up with pictures.

Helms reference pages:
11-128 - Fuel pump
20- 60 - Removal of the back seat

Write can be found here.

1. Relieve some of the fuel system pressure by opening the gas tank cap.

2. Lower the back seat of your car and remove the two two clips and bolts on the outer edges of the seat. Remove the lower portion of the back seat by pulling out the two clips underneath the outer edges with pliers.

3. Remove the 10mm bolts holding the rear floor beam in place.

4. Remove the screws holding the access panel in place.

5. Disconnect the 2P connector and uncrimp the two fuel lines. With the help of a few friends and a pair of pliers, just clamp down on the white clip portion to unclip them.

6. Remove the fuel pump from the tank.

7. Disconnect the hose by unclamping the two metal clips holding it in place. This required using the pliers and a bit of forced wiggling.

8. Assemble the new filter to the Walbro pump using the small clip provided. Clamp the hose down on one end of the filter. Connect the other end of the hose and clamp it as well. Now you are ready to put everything back in the gas tank.

9. Put everything back in reverse order.
