I couldn't agree more. You would have to be insane to pay those prices. That's not even custom stuff!! Those are production pieces!!! Those prices should be for custom tailored parts that are made to your specific application, headwork, bottom end, etc. That's completely nuts for off the shelf production pieces.

Do you really think that the JUN cams will be that much better?

To answer your question, it depends on the specs. of the JUN cam. The valve springs have to be able to handle the lift, and if the profile is really radical, the springs will have to be stiff to prevent valve float at high rpms.
