no. see above comment about what is interchangable. you need the harnesss or to change all the wires.

the old speedo works fine. nothing wrong with speed sensor. no shorts or opens on my wiring. i haven't been able to try it again since last week. studying for exams. but i might try to open the guages and just check continuity and resistance with the motor. it seems to be suspect.

dog you said you had them working but how long ago was that and how were they stored? any possible way you could think they got busted? yea i have the pics but you weren't moving so no speedo activity.

speedo only thing holding me back...aint this a bisch

They were stored at my house in my room. When we tested it it was perfect. Was there any way you could have shorted it when plugging the wires individually? I really don't know what to say.

Hey guys. Even though my gauges work flawlessly, some of you guys seem to have one or two things just a little off... maybe this will help (lets hope). Since the time I first wrote up the diagram, I've had a chance to compare the 94+ dash wire harness to what I had written up, here's the only differences I found:

(ORIGINAL)
Harness H

1. Yellow -- power
2. Pink -- speedometer
3. Splice the red/green wire from under the hood near the fuse box and run to pin -- power
4. Red/Black -- dimmer wire
5. Black -- ground
6. Orange
7. No wire
8. Light green (you need to splice the wire from the dash clock harness & run it to the pin) -- trip mileage memory
9. No wire
10. No wire

Harness J

1. No wire
2. No wire
3. No wire
4. Green/yellow -- right blinker
5. Red/blue -- high beam

Harness M

1. Blue/silver spots -- tachometer
2. Black -- ground
3. Red/yellow -- high beam
4. Green/blue -- left blinker
5. Blue -- SRS

(UPDATED)
Harness H

1. Yellow -- power
2. Pink -- speedometer
3. Yellow -- Power
4. Red/Black -- dimmer wire
5. Black -- ground
6. Orange
7. No wire
8. Light green (you need to splice the wire from the dash clock harness & run it to the pin) -- trip mileage memory
9. Red/Yellow
10. No wire

Harness J

1. No wire
2. No wire
3. No wire
4. Green/yellow -- right blinker
5. Red/blue -- high beam

Harness M

1. Blue/silver spots -- tachometer
2. Black -- ground
3. Red/yellow -- high beam
4. Green -- left blinker
5. Blue -- SRS

I hope this solves any problems you guys are having. Let me know if there's anything else.

Guys i know this is an old old thread but i am having difficulty installing my JDM Gauge Cluster.
I have the whole Half Clip of an H22a also.
Im currently using the JDM harness off the cluster and its not working as there are 2 connector that does not plug into my 92s H23.
Everything seems different
Pin H are the same as the usdm one but pin J has 6 pin, M has 16pin
.here are some picture.

**image links no longer work**

From what i know/heard , u can't use a JDM cluster on ur USDM dash since the mounting points are different... If u were to use a JDM cluster u would need a USDM cluster housing and swap everything over... Never really tried it w/ a JDM cluster, I was able to get a USDM VTEC one...

But what about the wiring?
They cant be that different can they?
From what I can see here is that the JDM one and the USDM one have diffrent connectors..

There must be someone on this board who has an answer for me no?

if you can get a hold of a jdm prelude helms for the electro cluster then u can figure out what wire does what and tap it or solder it to the correct wire. And from what i know you do not need the bottom harness for the cluster, when i did the usdm 94+ cluster swap i didn't use that connector.

I just did the conversion today using 92 si ludester Auto cluster on my 92 si 5speed/
Everything turn out great until i let go of the handbrake. As soon as the Hand brake is let down all the light seems to be dime or close to no light.

Also, the signal light goes not work nor highbeam signal switch light. When I switch on my light, all the light are off on the cluster. What am i doing wrong. Do Canadian DRL (day time running light)makes a big different?
Or could it be because i wire my jdm headlight by using both the filament which is drawing all of the power from the cluster to the light?
Hopefully someone here can help me out.

Ok i've fix the signal and highbeam signal light problem. - I forgot to plug the connector on the cover.

Now the only problem is that when i signal, both the left and right blinker lights goes on at the same time as if i were on 4way on [hazzard button]

Ok i found the problem to my cluster dimming whenever i switch the light on.

The problem happen on harness H when either pin 4, or pin 9 is wired.
Everything works great accept that when i signal, both left and right flashes.
