^^^^ He said specifically that good treadwear was an issue for him. If that's the case, he certainly doesn't want to race on TS1s or Azenis. The SO-3 and GS-D3 are sticky enough that you COULD race on them, but still have enough treadlife for you to leave them on your car as a daily driver.

If he's got a seperate set of wheels for racing then by all means he should get an autocross tire for them. Advans, Kumhos, P-Zero Corsas, whatever.

I currently have BOTH the S-03's AND Parada Spec-2's.
My Parada's are my daily driven/summer tire and the S-03's are the ones I use for autocross. I should add that I also HAD the Parada Spec-1's right before I got the Spec-2's.

The Spec-2's I have are 215/40/17. They're not bad. Slightly above average all round with the exception of snow. I never tested their limits on snow as I always revert to my third set of rims for the winter. In the rain I CAN make them slip though. There are definitely better tires out there that have better wet traction but they're not piss poor horrible. Generally speaking there are other choices that are probably comparable if not a little better for the money but they're not SO bad. Like I said before, to me, they're a little better than average.
In comparison to the Spec-1's, the Spec-2's are better in every way.

The S-03's I have are 225/45/16. As stated I only use these for autocrossing but occassionally when I'm lazy I'll leave them on for a few weeks after an event. They are really nice but they're pricey (obviously). Wet traction is pretty good. Snow traction is terrible though so have a backup set if you live in a region that sees snowfall.
They're definitely better than the Spec-2's in terms of traction but they last less. The S-03's have a tread rating of 220 compared to the Spec-2's 300. Even if I go up to my S-03's and feel them with my fingers I can tell the rubber is softer than the rubber on my Parada Spec-2's. You can definitely still use them as daily drivers though. I think aklucsarits used them as daily drivers before his car was stolen. I know he competed with them as well.

Parada Spec-1's......they don't make them anymore and even if you do find them, don't buy them.

so when you say, with the Parada Spec-2's, that you can make them slip, please tell

i would like to get these but im worried about wet traction as we have poor road drainage where i live and the roads are usually VERY wet after a rain shower

Sorry, I forgot about this thread.
When I say I can make them slip I mean I can make them slip on purpose if I try. Simple as that.
Of course if you go fast enough almost any tire will slip in the rain but so far I haven't had these slip on me by accident yet.
If you (you meaning the general sense of the term) drive like a reckless teenager who just got his license yesterday then I wouldn't be surprised if you had them slip on you unexpectedly.
