Well i was able to find a set of Dunlop Sp Win Sport M2. At a local tire dealer. They were on Tire Rack but they no longer have them. And I them the stock size of 205/50/16. They are a H rated tire. I make a lot of Trips to Boston so i wanted a speed rated tire. You can get Michelin Pilot Alpin they are also a H rated tire. I would try to stick with a speed rated and the highest rated that i have found is the H rated tire.

My family is going to hook everyone up, should be like $70 a tire for 16's...i'm trying to find the best tire for the money that we can get the best deal on..

When is this going down?? and where?? $70 a tire sounds good to me Just let me know and i will be in. As long as they have thick tread and will help me in the snow.

If your keeping your 16s for winter I'd go with either the Michelin Pilot Artic Alpin or the Pirelli 210 Snowsport.

The best traction would be had with a 15 inch rim and tirepackage with 195 60 15 though.

I use 185/65-15 Blizzak MZ-02's. They get me ANYWHERE I need to go. A truly impressive ice/snow tire. And truly miserable dry handling.

You probably won't need quite as extreme a setup down there, so something H rated in the stock size will do nicely. As long as it's a dedicated snow, it's hard to go wrong, really.

If you can get a deal on 16" tires, great. But when shopping for mine, I found it was more expensive to get 16" tires than it was to get 15" wheels AND tires. Plus I have the convenience of not being reliant on a tire shop to swap them on & off. I can swap rims in about half an hour by myself, and I'm set for whatever winter can throw at me.

I've had the Michelin Pilot Arctic Alpin for two winters now and these things are awsome. I drive around like it nothing while the other cars around me are spinning their tires. They definately get a thumbs up form me!

I run the michelin artic alpin in stock size and they are very nice tires. It's an odd switch to go from loud hard RE730's to the soft quiet snow tires.

I have the model before the Michelin Artic Alpin (they replaced them). I got them from Tire Rack for about $400 shipped and I love them. No problems what-so-ever in the last Wisconsin winter, although it wasn't that bad.

I thought with shipping I only paid like $350 for the four tires, maybe they went up since last winter. And yes they do look more like a street tire then a winter tire.

I may have a set for sale depending on the brake system that I get and whether it can clear the 16" stock wheels. They are Michelin H rated snows with about 1500 miles on them (tread looks brand new)!

If you are looking for the ultimate snow, I say get Nokian WRs. I can get them at a sizeable discount if you are in CT.

Thanks nmhta211 i will keep that in mind. I want a tire that i can drive on in dry weather highway and roads and still be able to drive in some serious snow. Im thinking this year will be bad for CT.
