Will 17x7 wheels with a +40 offset rub?

I'm looking at getting a set of 17x7 tsw vx1's with a +40 offset will i have any problems? The suspension on my car is stock and I don't plan on lowering my car.

If you don't plan on lowering your car then you should be fine with that set up. If you do decide to lower it in the future, you won't be able to lower it more than 1.5" or else it will rub in the back.

I have that size wheel on my car, with 215/50/17. They rub occasionally. My next tires will be 205, and that will eliminate the rubbing.

215/40/17 with 40mm offset and I rub a lot. My car is lowered with eibach prokit + koni yellows. But once I shaved the triangular plastic thing in the rear fender, the rubbing is gone.

I'm lowered by about an inch and I run on 7 x 17 with 215/45 tires and a 40mm offset and I have never heard it rub. The tires are unmarked on the sidewall to confirm this.
