Wheels and Tire Question

I have a 98 Lude with KYB AGX and H&R Springs and want to change my wheels and tires to a set of R1 Wheels with a +40mm offset, 17x7 and 215/45/17 tires. Has anyone used this set-up without rubbing? Reading the wheel thread the recommendation is +45mm to +50mm for 7" wheels.
I called wheelsnext and they only have R1 in +40mm offset and the guy couldn't gurantee it wouldn't rub b/c my car is dropped.

All feedback is appreciated.

You should be ok with that wheel as long as you aren't dropped more than about 2 inches. However, the tire choice is odd. 215/45/17 is bigger than our stock tire size and could result in rubbing. A better choice would be 215/40/17.
